Obeten, Ude Bassey Ph.D FIPMD, KSJI, holds Ph.D and M.Sc Degrees in Sociology of Development, B.Sc and Diploma in Social Work from the University of Calabar. He also holds Registered Nurse (RN), and Registered Nurse Psychiatry (RPN) certificates. Dr. Ude Obeten worked with Cross River State Ministries of Health, Women Affairs, and Ministry of Social Welfare and Community Development where he served as Project)Desk Officer for Cross River State Conditional Cash Transfer and Free Health Care Schemes. He was a participant at the World Bank Washington, USA training for Designing and implementation of CCTs in Nigeria, lead staff for the identification of trainable adults for various indentureship in Cross River state, and was lead facilitator in the South- South Nigeria. He consulted for Ministry of Social Welfare and UNICEF in the formulation of Child Rights law and Protection regulations. He had authored and co-authored a number of scholarly articles, in reputable national and international journals.

Chika Rita Ikeorji
Chika Rita Ikeorji is a Lecturer in the Department of Social Work. She was employed as a Graduate Assistant in 2018. She obtained her Masters degree in Gerontology in 2020 from the University of Southampton, UK through the Commonwealth Scholarship. She also has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2022 and is currently undergoing her PhD studies at the University of Calgary, Canada. Her research interests are in informal care of older adults, geriatric care, and community participatory action research. She has publications in both international and local journals. Chika is a CommonWealth Fellow and a recipient of the Dave Este Graduate Scholarship Award.

Prof. Walter Abeng Mboto, a distinguished Professor of Industrial Sociology/Social Work at the University of Calabar, embodies academic excellence and community leadership. Dr. Ofem, Nnana Okoi hail from ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
